Pertamina Adjusts Pertamax Series Fuel Prices in Papua
Jayapura (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku has begun adjusting the price of non-subsidised fuel for its Pertamax Series products across the entire Papua region, effective 10 June 2026. Area Manager for Communication Relations & CSR of Papua Maluku, Ispiani Abbas, stated in Jayapura on Wednesday that the price adjustment was made after coordinating with the government as the regulator and based on a periodic evaluation mechanism that considers global oil price trends and market economic prices. “The non-subsidised fuel price applicable throughout Papua as of 10 June 2026 for Pertamax (RON 92) has changed from Rp12,600 per litre to Rp16,650 per litre,” she said. According to Ispiani, Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) remains at Rp21,200 per litre, while the Dex Series products have not experienced any price changes, with Dexlite (CN 51) remaining at Rp23,500 per litre and Pertamina Dex (CN 53) at Rp25,350 per litre. “These prices apply throughout Papua with a Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax of 7.5 percent,” she stated. She explained that the adjustment of non-subsidised fuel prices is carried out in accordance with prevailing regulations and is part of the implementation of energy governance to maintain a balance between business sustainability, service quality, and the certainty of energy supply for the community. “The Pertamax and Pertamax Green price adjustments were made after an evaluation process according to the price formula set by the government. The selling price was decided in coordination with the government as the regulator,” she reiterated. She added that the company also confirmed that subsidised fuel prices have not changed. The price of Pertalite remains at Rp10,000 per litre and Biosolar at Rp6,800 per litre. “We will continue to ensure that the fuel supply in Papua remains secure and available throughout Pertamina’s petrol station network so that the community’s energy needs can be properly met,” she said.
