Pertamina Adjusts 12 kg LPG Price
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has increased the price of non-subsidised Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in 12 kg cylinders from Rp 192,000 per cylinder to Rp 228,000 per cylinder, representing an 18.75% rise. This is the first price adjustment since 2023. According to the official Pertamina Patra Niaga website accessed in Jakarta on Sunday (19/4/2026), the Rp 228,000 price for 12 kg LPG applies in Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara. Prices in other provinces are also adjusted according to distribution costs to each region. Meanwhile, the price of non-subsidised 5.5 kg LPG has risen by 18.89%, from Rp 90,000 per cylinder to Rp 107,000 per cylinder in the aforementioned regions of Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara. Similar to the 12 kg LPG, prices for 5.5 kg LPG in other areas are adjusted based on distribution costs. This price adjustment takes effect from 18 April 2026. The adjustment is the first since November 2023, when Pertamina reduced the price of 12 kg LPG to Rp 192,000 per cylinder, a drop of Rp 12,000 per cylinder. Irto Ginting, who was then serving as Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, stated that the LPG price adjustment was made following an evaluation of the Contract Price Aramco (CPA) trend in November 2023, when the rupiah price per kilogram decreased in line with the weakening of the US dollar exchange rate against the rupiah.
