JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumatera Bagian Utara (Sumbagut) is adding 3.2 million LPG cylinders to ensure that the community’s energy needs are met during Ramadan up to Eid al-Fitr 2026.

Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Sunardi, stated that this supply addition is intended to anticipate the increase in energy consumption.

“The addition of LPG supply is our effort to ensure that the community’s energy needs remain fulfilled during Ramadan up to Eid al-Fitr,” he said in a written statement on Friday (20/3/2026).

This amount is equivalent to an additional average of 407,960 cylinders per day, or about 12 percent higher than the normal daily distribution.

The supply addition in each region includes Aceh with 353,920 cylinders or an average of 58,987 cylinders per day, up around 12 percent from normal.

Then North Sumatra with 1,461,040 cylinders or an average of 182,630 cylinders per day, up around 10 percent.

Meanwhile, Riau with 641,760 cylinders or an average of 91,680 cylinders per day, up around 6 percent.

And Riau Islands with 192,080 cylinders or an average of 32,013 cylinders per day.

He added that Pertamina is also continuously conducting intensive monitoring of LPG distribution in the field.

“Pertamina is committed to presenting a comfortable Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr moment for the community by ensuring that energy distribution runs smoothly,” said Sunardi.
