Pertamina Accelerates Fuel Supply to Address Queues in East Java
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jawa Timur, Bali, dan Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus) is accelerating fuel deliveries to address queues for subsidised fuel at several petrol stations in Pamekasan, East Java. “We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the queues that have made the public anxious,” said Area Manager Communication, Relations and CSR Ahad Rahedi in a press statement in Pamekasan on Tuesday. The situation had caused disappointment among some residents who had queued for a long time, only to find the available quota of Pertalite had been sold out. Ahad explained that operations have since returned to normal. To speed up the recovery of supplies, deliveries were diverted from the Surabaya Integrated Terminal following a temporary stock limitation at the Camplong Fuel Terminal. “We are strengthening supplies and monitoring stock to ensure the distribution of subsidised fuel is carried out properly so that public needs are met,” he said. Pertamina also urged the public not to be easily influenced by unverified information and to ensure any news regarding fuel supplies comes from official Pertamina channels.
