PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan is continuing to optimise the receipt and distribution of fuel supplies from tankers that have arrived to strengthen fuel availability in West Kalimantan. This measure is part of efforts to accelerate the normalisation of distribution and services to the public in various areas, including Pontianak City, Kubu Raya Regency, Ketapang Regency, North Kayong Regency, Landak Regency, and other regions in West Kalimantan. Currently, the supply of fuel to the Pontianak Integrated Terminal is proceeding according to plan. Several fuel tankers have arrived in the reception area, and the process of receiving and unloading supplies is ongoing to reinforce stock availability at the terminal. Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR for the Kalimantan Region of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Edi Mangun, stated that Pertamina is taking various accelerated measures to maintain smooth fuel distribution and ensure the community’s needs are met. “We understand the public’s concerns about queues at several petrol stations. Currently, fuel tankers have arrived and the supply reception process is ongoing. Pertamina is continuously optimising the receipt and distribution of supplies to strengthen stock availability and accelerate the normalisation of distribution in the West Kalimantan region,” Edi said in a press release on Wednesday (29/7/2026). Edi added that Pertamina is also optimising fuel deliveries from the terminal to petrol stations by implementing several anticipatory measures. Deliveries to petrol stations in Pontianak City and surrounding areas are being carried out earlier, starting at 00:00 WIB, to ensure supplies are available more quickly. As of this morning, Wednesday (29/7), fuel deliveries to a number of petrol stations have been made, and distribution will be gradually increased according to needs and field conditions. In addition, Pertamina is proactively building up stock at petrol stations without waiting for stock levels to reach a minimum. This step is taken to maintain stock availability at stations and minimise the potential for shortages in the field. Since Monday, Pertamina has also distributed an additional 176 kilolitres of fuel supplies in stages, with further additions being made daily, prioritising stations experiencing increased demand and vehicle density. A number of petrol stations have also extended their operating hours until midnight to increase service capacity for the public. “With supplies continuously being strengthened and the various anticipatory measures we are taking, Pertamina is ensuring that fuel distribution runs optimally. We are also continuously coordinating with local governments, law enforcement officials, and other related parties so that the distribution process runs safely, orderly, and smoothly,” Edi added. To ensure that the additional supplies are received optimally by the public, Pertamina is also increasing monitoring of fuel distribution at petrol stations and coordinating with relevant parties to support smooth service and traffic management at congested locations. “We are continuously monitoring stock and distribution conditions directly in the field. Pertamina will continue to take necessary steps according to developments on the ground to maintain smooth distribution and service to the community,” Edi emphasised. Pertamina is also strengthening synergy with local governments, law enforcement officials, and stakeholders to support smooth distribution and ensure orderly services for the community in accordance with regulations. Edi urged the public to remain calm and purchase fuel according to their needs and vehicle capacity. “We urge the public to buy fuel as needed and according to their vehicle’s capacity. By purchasing sufficiently, the public helps maintain fuel availability and provides an opportunity for others to receive services in an orderly manner. Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan is committed to continuously maintaining smooth distribution and meeting the energy needs of the community,” Edi concluded.
