PT Pertamina (Persero) has facilitated 1,346 SME certifications from January to March 2026, encompassing NIB, halal certification, HaKI, SPPL, and others. This effort aims to strengthen competitiveness and open market access for SMEs to modern retail.

The programme, implemented across various regions in Indonesia, forms part of Pertamina’s commitment to promoting equitable economic growth based on SMEs. Pertamina is bolstering the business foundations of SMEs to better penetrate wider markets, including competing in increasingly competitive industrial ecosystems.

Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron, stated that certifications represent a strategic step to enhance credibility and market trust in SME products.

“Pertamina is committed to continuously elevating SMEs through comprehensive mentoring, including certification facilitation. Certifications are not merely formalities but gateways for SMEs to expand market access, boost competitiveness, and meet increasingly selective consumer needs,” said Baron.

One success story comes from the SME Inovasi Mitra Sudjarwo (MiniesQ brand) from Pondok Aren, South Tangerang. This SME, operating in the healthy food sector, has successfully obtained halal certificates for its flagship products: healthy cookies, brownies, and oat-based snacks.

Founded in 2022 by Minie Sudjarwo, a former national athlete with 16 years of experience as a bodybuilder instructor, MiniesQ emerged from the growing trend of healthy lifestyles in society. Starting with one variant of healthy cookies, MiniesQ continues to innovate by offering nutritious and delicious healthy snacks.

“Society’s awareness of healthy living patterns presents both opportunities and challenges. We aim to provide products that are healthy, practical, and enjoyable,” said Minie.

A pivotal moment occurred after MiniesQ obtained halal certification. Market trust increased, opening opportunities for partnerships with 20 minimarkets and 1 supermarket in Jakarta for distributing brownies and oat products. Additionally, MiniesQ has established distribution partnerships with 90 fitness centres (gyms) in the Depok area and surroundings, strengthening its position in the healthy lifestyle segment.

This success illustrates that certifications are not just administrative aspects but keys to enhancing market access and consumer trust.
