Pertamax price drops to Rp15,950 per litre starting 1 August

PT Pertamina (Persero) has announced that the price of non-subsidised Pertamax fuel will decrease to Rp15,950 per litre effective from 1 August. According to Pertamina’s official website, the state-owned energy company is implementing these fuel price adjustments.

In the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek), the price of Pertamax has dropped from Rp16,250 per litre in July to Rp15,950 per litre starting 1 August. Similarly, the price of Pertamax Green has decreased from Rp17,000 per litre to Rp16,600 per litre. This reduction marks the first price drop since the increases implemented on 10 June, following a period where the government maintained fuel prices despite global volatility caused by geopolitical tensions.

Furthermore, the price of Pertamax Turbo has seen a significant reduction from Rp19,300 per litre to Rp18,300 per litre. However, prices for the Dex Series diesel fuels remain stable, with Dexlite (CN 51) staying at Rp19,700 per litre and Pertamina Dex (CN 53) remaining at Rp21,150 per litre.

Prices for subsidised and assigned fuels remain unchanged, with Pertalite staying at Rp10,000 per litre and Biosolar at Rp6,800 per litre. These adjustments are being made to implement the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022, which regulates the base price formula for calculating the retail selling prices of petrol and diesel distributed through gas stations.
