PT Pertamina (Persero) has officially adjusted non-subsidised fuel prices across all regions of Indonesia, effective from Sunday, 1 March 2026. In this latest update, Pertamax (RON 92) fuel has increased to Rp12,300 per litre for the Jabodetabek region (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi).

This price adjustment implements the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Decree No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 concerning the Base Price Formula in calculating the retail price of general petroleum fuel types including petrol and diesel distributed through public fuel stations (SPBU).

According to official data from Pertamina’s website, price increases have occurred across the entire non-subsidised BBM product line, from the Pertamax series to the Dex series. Pertamax Turbo in the Jabodetabek region has risen to Rp13,100 per litre, up from the previous Rp12,700.

Although non-subsidised fuel prices have experienced considerable increases, the government has ensured that assigned and subsidised BBM prices remain stable. This measure protects consumer purchasing power amid fluctuations in global crude oil prices. To date, Pertalite (RON 90) remains fixed at Rp10,000 per litre and Biosolar at Rp6,800 per litre across all Indonesian regions.

Pertamina conducts periodic adjustments to non-subsidised fuel prices by considering trends in average global oil prices (MOPS/Argus) and the rupiah-to-dollar exchange rate. These increases form part of the periodic adjustments in accordance with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree, which takes into account global oil market prices and other macroeconomic factors.

Price increases apply nationally, though actual rates may vary across regions due to the impact of Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) levied by individual provinces. A surprise inspection was conducted at a Pertamina fuel station in Cibubur on 27 February to verify whether adulterated Pertamax was present. PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has assured that its Pertamax fuel with RON 92 specifications maintains quality standards.
