Pertagas Maintains Energy Reliability through World-Class OHS Standards
PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), part of PT Pertamina (Persero)’s Gas Subholding, continues to maintain the reliability of national energy infrastructure through the implementation of a world-class occupational health and safety (OHS) culture to support safe and reliable operations.
“Pertagas continues to strengthen the implementation of OHS culture as the foundation in maintaining the reliability of national energy infrastructure operations,” said Pertagas President Director Indra P. Sembiring in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He stated that this commitment aligns with the government’s efforts to cultivate OHS to enhance productivity, business sustainability, and national competitiveness.
Pertagas’ commitment to strengthening OHS culture received recognition through the achievement of a Gold category award (Level 4) at the WSO Indonesia Safety Culture Award (WISCA) 2026, organised by the World Safety Organization (WSO) Indonesia.
The award was received directly by Indra at the presentation ceremony held in South Jakarta, coinciding with the series of events for National OHS Month, World Day for Safety and Health at Work, and International Firefighters Day.
Indra stated that the company consistently promotes the implementation of HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) culture involving all company elements, from management and workers to business partners.
He emphasised that these efforts are crucial to ensure optimal energy infrastructure operations in supporting national energy resilience.
According to him, strengthening HSSE culture is an important part in supporting reliable, safe, and sustainable energy operations, particularly in managing oil and gas distribution as well as infrastructure development for national energy distribution.
The WISCA 2026 award was given after a verification process and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) conducted by the WSO Indonesia verification team independently, objectively, professionally, and with integrity in accordance with the established mechanisms.
Pertagas HSSE Vice President Rotua Elyzabeth added that this achievement further affirms Pertagas’ commitment to consistently implementing HSSE principles in all company operational activities.
