Pertagas Ensures Reliable Energy Distribution Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H
PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), as part of Pertamina’s Gas Subholding, conducted a Management Walkthrough (MWT) involving company directors and commissioners to assess the reliability of operational facilities and ensure adequate energy supply, particularly ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. The initiative comprised multi-day facility visits beginning on 4 March 2026 across eight Pertagas operational regions.
The MWT, coordinated with the Ramadan Safari 1447 H activities, visited operational areas including Pekanbaru, Pangkalan Brandan, Dumai, Palembang, Cikarang, Surabaya, Semarang, and Balikpapan. Pertagas directors inspected facilities to ensure smooth energy distribution and system reliability.
As part of its commitment to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) principles, the MWT emphasised safety and security compliance across operational areas. Directors confirmed that all safety and security procedures were properly implemented to maintain uninterrupted energy supply and prevent operational disruptions.
Chief Executive Officer of PT Pertamina Gas Indra P Sembiring expressed appreciation for company staff’s optimal performance across all operational regions. He explained that the initiative aimed to ensure operational and infrastructure reliability ahead of Eid al-Fitr. “We ensure that energy supply distribution remains unobstructed to support smooth community and domestic industrial consumer activities ahead of Eid al-Fitr,” he stated.
Operational reliability is reflected in Pertagas’s 2025 business performance, which demonstrated positive growth trends across multiple business lines. Gas transportation volume reached over 1,500 MMSCFD, representing approximately 4% growth compared to 2024 realisation. Oil transportation achieved over 174,000 BOPD, growing approximately 8% alongside increased upstream activities and supply from multiple production regions.
Regasification service volume reached approximately 155 BBTUD, increasing 6%, whilst LPG production grew 5% with distribution volume exceeding 450 tonnes per day throughout 2025. Growth across business lines reinforces Pertagas’s strategic role as a midstream energy infrastructure operator supporting reliable and efficient national energy distribution.
To maintain stable energy supply during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period, Pertagas established a Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H Task Force Team (Tim Satgas RAFI) to monitor and ensure operational continuity across all company work areas. The task force is deployed to maintain stable energy distribution for communities and industry whilst prioritising HSSE principles to minimise operational risks.
Pertagas plays a vital role in supporting operational continuity in strategic Indonesian industries, including fertiliser, energy, and electricity sectors. These sectors are critical for ensuring economic activity remains smooth during the Eid al-Fitr period, requiring stable and efficient energy supply.
“As a company managing 2,930 km of natural gas transmission pipelines and 605 km of oil transmission pipelines, Pertagas holds a strategic position in supporting energy self-sufficiency in Indonesia. By ensuring stable energy supply distribution, we support production activities that drive Indonesian economic growth,” Indra added.
The Management Walkthrough reflects Pertagas’s commitment to meeting energy requirements through reliable distribution infrastructure and operational excellence. With infrastructure reliability and readiness, Pertagas is prepared to support Eid al-Fitr activities and other vital operations requiring stable energy supply.
