Pertagas distributes social aid to 800 beneficiaries across various regions

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), part of the Gas Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), has distributed aid to more than 800 beneficiaries at 12 social foundations as a demonstration of its corporate social responsibility and care. Corporate Secretary Pertagas Sulthani Adil Mangatur said the aid targeted 12 social foundations across its operational areas, distributed through the Pertamina Berkah programme held simultaneously by the Pertamina Group. “The total number of beneficiaries reached more than 800 people spread across various regions, including Jakarta, Langkat, Dumai, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Semarang, Bekasi, South Tangerang, Surabaya, and Balikpapan,” Sulthani said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday. Carrying the theme ‘Serving Wholeheartedly’, the Pertamina Berkah programme is a manifestation of care and social commitment through the provision of aid to orphans, the underprivileged, and the elderly from various religious backgrounds. He said the activity is not only a form of sharing and caring for others, but also strengthens the values of togetherness, tolerance, and the spirit of mutual support within society. He said participation in the Pertamina Berkah programme is Pertagas’s commitment as part of the Gas Subholding to continue delivering benefits to communities around its operational areas. Through Pertamina Berkah, the company aims to be present not only as an energy distributor, but also as a part of society that cares and strengthens one another. He did not specify the nominal amount of the aid distributed. “The spirit of serving wholeheartedly promoted in this programme serves as a reminder that the company’s presence must bring benefits that can be felt directly by the community,” Sulthani said. According to him, the simultaneous charitable activities also serve as a momentum to strengthen humanitarian values, care, and mutual cooperation that have been an important part of the company’s journey. In addition to the distribution of aid, the activities held in various Pertagas operational areas also included communal prayers involving beneficiaries, foundation administrators, employees, and company management.
