Pertagas Distributes 475 Qurban Animals to 300 Sites in Operational Areas

Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero)‘s Gas Subholding, has distributed 475 Qurban animals to 300 sites in 11 provinces within the company’s operational areas. Corporate Secretary Sulthani Adil Mangatur said the distribution is a social responsibility initiative towards communities around Pertagas’ operational areas and gas pipeline routes. ‘Eid al-Adha is the right time to share with communities, especially those in ring 1 who have consistently supported the company’s operations,’ Sulthani said. This year, the total Qurban animals distributed comprised 26 cattle and 449 goats or sheep. Pertagas collaborated with mosques, musala, foundations, orphanages, and villages around its operational areas in the 11 provinces. The 11 recipient provinces are Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, South Sumatra, Jambi, Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and East Kalimantan. Sulthani added that the Qurban animal distribution is part of Pertagas’ CSR programme under Pertamina Peduli. ‘Through this Qurban distribution programme, we aim to assist those in need and strengthen ties with stakeholders across the 11 provinces. This aligns with the company’s ESG spirit, particularly the social pillar,’ he said. The distribution of Qurban meat prioritises impoverished and needy communities near operational sites.
