To mark its 19th anniversary, PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of Pertamina’s Gas Subholding, has organised a series of social activities as a form of concern for communities around its operational areas.

Under the theme ‘Energizing Growth, Empowering Communities’, Pertagas is not only focusing on business growth but also on making a real contribution to the social environment. Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Gas, Sulthani, said that social activities are part of the company’s commitment to humanitarian values.

“These activities demonstrate the company’s commitment to social and humanitarian interests,” he said.

The series of activities began with a blood donation held at Grha Pertamina, involving active participation from Pertagas employees in collaboration with the PMI (Indonesian Red Cross) of Depok. The social program was then continued with a Pertagas Goes to School activity at SMPN 17 in South Tangerang. In this program, Pertagas employees were directly involved as volunteers to share insights about the professional world and the importance of social responsibility to students.

“This activity is an excellent opportunity for us to share knowledge and experience with students, as well as teach them about responsibility and social care,” said Sulthani.

As a form of attention to the welfare of the elderly, Pertagas also carried out renovations and provided assistance at the Tresna Wredha Indramayu Social Welfare Home. This activity aims to improve the quality of facilities and provide moral support to the residents of the home.

“With the renovations and assistance, we hope that the elderly living in this home can obtain decent facilities,” said Sulthani Adil Mangatur.

The 19th-anniversary celebration of Pertagas was also filled with a thanksgiving and prayer event at the Pertamina Gas Head Office. On this occasion, the company distributed assistance to eight social foundations around its operational area. Similar social assistance was also given simultaneously to various foundations in Pertagas’ operational areas in Sumatra, Java, and Kalimantan.

“We see the momentum of Pertagas’ 19th anniversary as the right time to share and strengthen social care. Our assistance is not only distributed at the head office but also throughout our operational areas, so that the presence of Pertagas is truly felt by the communities around us,” added Sulthani.

Through this series of social activities, Pertagas reaffirms its commitment to providing energy that not only drives the economy but also has a sustainable social impact on communities. (E-3)
