Jakarta, KOMPAS.com - The Busworld Southeast Asia 2026 exhibition at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, witnessed a new milestone for the world of transport as well as Indonesian football. Karoseri Laksana officially launched the latest electric bus fleet, designed specifically to meet the mobility needs of the capital’s giant club, Persija Jakarta. The move by the Macan Kemayoran team to adopt this zero-emission electric bus sets an important precedent in the national football industry. It is not merely a regular operational vehicle; the fleet symbolizes the green transition and a tangible commitment to reducing carbon emissions in urban areas. In terms of exterior appearance, the bus sports a predominantly bright red livery typical of Persija Jakarta. On the port and starboard hulls, the large white font spells out “PERSIJA”, sitting beside the club logo and graphics themed around the Macan. The vehicle’s identity is also reinforced by the inscription “ELECTRIC BUS” at the lower side. Aesthetically, Laksana applied the Legacy SR3 Panorama body. The distinctive Hyundai electric bus characteristics are visible when looking at the roof, where the massive battery unit is deliberately placed above. According to official specifications, the chassis measures a total length of 11,790 mm, width 2,490 mm, with a wheelbase of 6,030 mm. Regarding powertrain, Persija’s electric bus relies on a Central / Asynchronous (AC) electric motor capable of delivering up to 240 kW (roughly 326 PS) and an instant torque of 102 kgm. Power is delivered through two drive modes that can be adjusted by the driver: Power Mode (240 kW) for full performance or Eco Mode (160 kW) for energy efficiency. The power system is supported by a High-Capacity Lithium-ion Polymer battery with a capacity of 290.4 kWh. When the battery is fully charged, this Hyundai-based chassis is claimed to be able to travel up to 420 km. To ensure comfort for the Macan Kemayoran players on long journeys, the undercarriage and chassis, weighing 8,235 kg, are supported by air suspension at the front and rear. For safety features, the braking system uses discs, backed by proficient electronics, including a combination of Electronic Braking System (EBS) and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC). The arrival of the luxurious electric bus by Laksana and Hyundai at Busworld 2026 demonstrates that first-class comfort for athletes and environmental consciousness can go hand in hand in Indonesian sport.
