Persib vs Madura United: Reason for Bojan Hodak's Absence
BANDUNG, KOMPAS.com - Persib Bandung is confirmed to be without head coach Bojan Hodak when they host Madura United in the 23rd week of the 2025-2026 Super League.
The Persib vs Madura United match will take place at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium on Thursday, February 26, 2025, at 8:30 PM WIB.
Coach Bojan Hodak will be absent in the match because he has to serve an accumulation of yellow cards. This is the second time Hodak has been absent from accompanying Maung Bandung on the sidelines this season.
Previously, he also missed the match against Malut United on December 14, 2025, for the same reason; at that time, Maung Bandung lost 0-2 at Gelora Kie Raha.
“There are no special preparations, for the past two days we have been preparing by honing tactical material, attacking methods for this match, training defense and set pieces,” said Igor Tolic.
Madura United is still struggling in 14th place in the temporary standings with 20 points.
The Laskar Sape Kerrab’s away record shows two wins, four draws, and five losses.
In the first meeting, Lulinha and his team were defeated by Persib with a score of 4-1.
In the last few matches against Persis Solo and Arema FC, the coach from Brazil often used five defenders when defending.
“We are looking forward to the match, we know the opponent’s game because we have watched their matches,” claimed Igor Tolic.
“They are a good team, have good set pieces, good transitions and can penetrate from the middle because basically, they usually play with two strikers,” said the coach from Croatia.
The two strikers in question are Junior Brandao and Riquelme Silva, who will be very troublesome if Adam Alis and his team are caught in a counter-attack.
