Persib Unconcerned by Bojan Hodak's Absence in Final Two Matches
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Persib Bandung player Frans Putros stated that he has no concerns about not being accompanied by coach Bojan Hodak in the final two matches of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League.
Hodak, who is serving a suspension due to accumulated yellow cards, will be unable to guide his team when they face PSM Makassar at the Gelora BJ Habibie Stadium tonight at 7:00 PM WIB, followed by a home match against Persijap Jepara at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Saturday (May 23).
“No, we have spent this week preparing, and I think all the players now know what to do, know the tactics for later, and everything. For me, that won’t be a problem,” said Putros, quoted from Persib’s official website, Sunday.
In these two crucial matches, Persib will be led by assistant coach Igor Tolic on the sidelines. These two matches are essential for Persib to win if they want to become champions this season, surpassing Borneo, which also has 75 points.
“There isn’t much I can say. We are already in the final period. Now we have two remaining matches; we will fight until the end. We must give our all, win both remaining matches, and finish this season in the best possible way,” said Tolic.
Meanwhile, Putros stated that he wants to take a “big step” in the upcoming match to lead his team back to victory for the third time in a row.
“We want to take a big step. So, yes, our focus now is on the upcoming match, and hopefully, we can finish it in Bandung,” said the Iraqi national team player.
