Persib Clinches 2025/2026 Super League Title and Makes History

Persib Bandung have confirmed themselves as champions of the Super League 2025/2026 after a goalless draw with Persijap Jepara at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) on Saturday, 23 May. One point in the final match was enough to keep Maung Bandung at the summit of the table and to write a new chapter in Indonesian football history by securing a third consecutive league title.

The Bojan Hodak–led side arrived at the final fixture in a favourable position, needing only a draw to seal the trophy after taking the head-to-head advantage over their nearest rivals, Borneo FC. Throughout the match Persib dominated possession, but Persijap defended with discipline. Several chances were created, yet no goal materialised before the final whistle.

Meanwhile, Borneo FC celebrated a 7-1 victory over Malut United at Stadion Segiri, Samarinda, going 4-0 up before halftime. That emphatic win, however, could not dislodge Persib from the top of the standings.

Both teams finished on 79 points, but Persib prevailed on the head-to-head record. The triumph underlines Persib’s dominance in recent seasons; with Hodak’s emphasis on discipline and consistency, the team has completed a hat-trick of top-flight titles.

As scheduled, Persib Bandung vs Persijap Jepara took place at GBLA in Bandung on Saturday, 23 May, at 16:00 WIB. Persija were due to face Semen Padang at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan voiced optimism that Persib would complete a hat-trick of titles as they faced Persijap. He urged Bobotoh to maintain order and to assist with city clean-up after the match.
