Persib Championship Parade Results in Two Deaths and 122 Alcohol-Related Traffic Accidents

Two residents were found dead with stab wounds and 122 motorcyclists involved in traffic accidents during the Persib Bandung Super League championship parade on Sunday, 24 May 2026. Public facilities were damaged and litter scattered across Bandung’s roads.

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan stated that two residents died during the championship celebration on Sunday, 24 May 2026. Additionally, 122 motorcyclists were involved in traffic accidents allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

“We even found alcohol bottle waste amounting to a full pick-up truck over two nights. I will collaborate with the police to conduct a thorough crackdown on alcohol, as the impact has proven so severe,” he said at Bandung City Hall recently.

He added that illegal alcohol trafficking would be strictly enforced on a weekly basis. Farhan confirmed that the parade would not take place this time due to President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Bandung.
