Persib beats Pasay City 3-1

JAKARTA (JP): Persib goes to the quarterfinals of the Asian Champion Cup soccer tournament after notching a 3-1 away win over the Philippines' Pasay City at Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila on Saturday.

The West Java club will take on South Korea's league champion, Ilhwa Chunma, on Nov. 26 in the quarterfinals.

Persib scored the first goal through Asep Dayat (34th minute), the second goal through Kekey Zakaria (60th minute) and the third goal through Robby Darwis (72nd minute). The host's only consolation goal came in the 88th minute through Aversales with the aid of Norman Fegidero. (arf)
