Persib Bandung Aiming for the Title as Cimahi Police Deploy 300 Officers to Secure Bobotoh Convoys
Cimahi Police deployed 300 officers ahead of a crucial match that could seal Persib Bandung’s Super League 2025/2026 title. Security will focus on strategic routes connecting Cimahi City, Bandung City and West Bandung Regency to ensure public order and mobility over the weekend. The personnel will be deployed on Saturday and Sunday to monitor mass movements, with attention on areas such as Cibeureum, Cimindi and Setiabudi—key transport arteries in Bandung Raya.
“We are deploying 300 personnel on Saturday and Sunday. They will be placed at convoy points at the borders and main routes,” said Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Niko N. Adi Putra in Cimahi on Thursday (21/5/2026).
Police are also mindful of other simultaneous events, including a music convoy in the Eldorado area, with layered security intended to dampen potential clashes on the roads. Police do not prohibit celebrations of victory, but emphasise the need to safeguard public safety, with AKBP Niko urging against anarchic or provocative acts, especially toward vehicles with out-of-area plates passing through Bandung.
Bandung Barat Regent Jeje Ritchie Ismail also urged residents and Bobotoh to celebrate this moment with elegance, noting that coordination between local government and security forces has been maximised.
“Please come, do not worry. We remind Bobotoh to convoy politely and safely. We will coordinate with the police for security,” said Jeje Ritchie Ismail.
Persib Bandung are scheduled to face Persijap Jepara in a life-or-death match on Saturday (23/5). A victory in this match would secure the Super League 2025/2026 trophy for the Maung Bandung, a milestone awaited by millions of supporters. The authorities reiterate that the team’s focus must be directed at the decisive match yet to be played, and urge fans to show maturity to avoid actions that could harm themselves or the club.
