The management of Persela Lamongan is intensifying efforts to build the club’s financial independence by developing an apparel business through the Octagon brand as a new source of revenue ahead of the 2026/2027 Championship Indonesia season. Persela Lamongan Chief Operating Officer (COO) Edy Yunan Achmadi stated that Octagon is Persela’s own apparel brand, developed as part of a long-term strategy to strengthen the club’s economic foundation. “Octagon is one of Persela’s businesses. This brand is part of Persela. It not only supplies Persela’s jersey and equipment needs but is also a business we are developing for Persela,” he said in Lamongan, East Java, on Tuesday. “Hopefully, in the future, Persela can branch out into other businesses to become a source of revenue for the club, because competing requires substantial funds,” he added. Meanwhile, Persela Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Pradita Aditya said the club has prepared investments to develop Octagon as a local brand expected to become a pillar of the club’s income. As part of the development, Persela has partnered with designer Fajar Ramadhan (Fajarrusalem) to strengthen the visual identity of the products while expanding distribution through Persela Stores, now present in Babat, Karanggeneng, and Ngimbang to make it easier for supporters to obtain official club merchandise. The synergy between Persela and Octagon was marked by the launch of the Laskar Joko Tingkir squad’s training jersey at Surajaya Stadium in Lamongan on Sunday (20/7). The existence of this business line is expected to capitalise on the large base of Persela supporters who will return to watch matches at Surajaya Stadium in the 2026/2027 Championship Indonesia season.
