INN, a resident of Muding Buit, Kerobotan District, Badung Regency, has been arrested by the police. The 42-year-old man is the perpetrator behind the vandalism at the Perumda Tirta Danu Arta (PDAM Bangli) Kintamani Unit office on Jalan Raya Penelokan, Bangli.

“We have uncovered the report regarding the alleged criminal act of vandalism that occurred at the Perumda Tirta Danu Arta Kintamani Unit office,” stated Kintamani Police Chief, Kompol Made Dwi Puja Rimbawa, to detikBali on Sunday (6/9/2026).

Rimbawa revealed that the act of vandalism was carried out by INN solely due to an issue regarding a water meter seal. INN claimed that his water meter seal had not yet been removed despite him having paid his water arrears.

“The perpetrator committed the damage because he felt frustrated by the delay in opening the water meter seal, which remained unopened even after he had paid the administration fees,” said Rimbawa.

Frustrated by such service, INN proceeded to vandalise the PDAM Kintamani office. Rimbawa stated that on 2 September 2026, INN decided to vent his frustration at the PDAM Kintamani Unit.

INN arrived at the PDAM Kintamani office at 10:00 PM WITA. He then threw objects at two office windows, causing them to shatter. “He used two flower pots and threw shards of the pots at the office windows,” he explained.

Instead of resolving his issue, INN must now face the consequences of his actions. The man was arrested by police at his home in Batur Utara Village, Kintamani, on Sunday afternoon.

The police are charging INN under Article 521 of the Criminal Code, which carries a potential sentence of two years in prison.

“The team interrogated the suspect, confirming witness statements and reviewing CCTV footage. During interrogation, INN admitted to carrying out the damage at the Perumda Tirta Danu Arta office,” concluded Rimbawa.
