Perpetrator of False Imprisonment Trailed Victim to Hospital, Now a Fugitive

A woman identified by the initials YTR (29), from Rancaekek, Bandung Regency, West Java, is alleged to be the victim of kidnapping and physical abuse perpetrated by her partner, TH.

The victim had been considered missing by her family for three years until she was finally found in a distressing condition. YTR was discovered in critical condition with severe injuries across her body in a boarding house room in the Cileunyi area, Bandung Regency, West Java.

The family only received information regarding the victim’s whereabouts after the hospital contacted them to report that she was being treated for severe injuries. The victim’s brother, Afif, stated that the hospital contacted the family while his sister was in the Emergency Department (IGD).

Upon meeting the victim, the family found her extremely weak and repeatedly apologising to them. “First, we received a call from the hospital saying my sister was in the IGD. When I met her, she kept saying, ‘forgive me, forgive me.’ After questioning her slightly, it emerged that she had been abused by Yudha, also known as Taufic (TH), and held captive in a boarding house room,” Afif explained during the ‘Kabar Petang’ programme on tvOne.

Initially, the family was informed that the victim had been involved in an accident and that her motorcycle and mobile phone had been taken to the hospital. However, it turns out the victim was discovered by someone near the boarding house who grew suspicious. Upon searching the room, YTR was found moaning in pain.

When the victim was transported to the hospital by the boarding house warden, the perpetrator reportedly followed closely behind. “According to the hospital, she was brought by the warden, and the perpetrator actually followed. He was trailing behind them,” he added.

According to the victim’s account, the physical abuse ranged from being punched with hands to being struck with a helmet, which caused injuries to her head and face. “It started with punches, then progressed to being hit with a chair, the edge of a machete, and even a helmet hitting her head and eyes,” the victim’s brother explained.

YTR is gradually improving following intensive treatment at the Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung.
