Permitted by Pramono, NasDem Party Wants to Sponsor Gondangdia Bus Stop Naming
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The NasDem Party has stated its interest in sponsoring the commercial naming rights for public transport facilities in Jakarta.
This interest arises in response to DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung’s statement inviting political parties to participate in the naming rights programme for bus stops in the capital.
“Yes, I want to explore that, actually for the NasDem Party, if this becomes an open regulation, yes, as long as there is a price and it is transparent,” said Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD NasDem Faction, Wibi Andrino, to reporters on Monday (13/4/2026).
“We want to try having the bus stop near the NasDem office, Gondangdia Bus Stop, become Gondangdia NasDem Bus Stop,” Wibi said.
Regarding potential violations or conflicts with the General Elections Commission (KPU) regulations on advertising and campaigning limits for political parties, Wibi is confident that the local government’s regulations have undergone thorough review.
“Yes, the regulation is certainly from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, surely in making the regulation there has been consultation,” Wibi explained.
He emphasised that NasDem is ready to follow the applicable procedures if legally permitted, including fulfilling the payment obligations for the naming rights.
However, according to him, bus stops as a starting point could also become a policy to increase Jakarta’s Original Local Revenue (PAD).
“I was even thinking earlier that if there were naming rights at MRT stations, that would be even cooler, but this is fine. So later, Gondangdia NasDem Bus Stop, it fits,” he said.
Previously reported, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung openly opened the door to anyone, including political parties, who wants to sponsor the names of bus stops or stations in Jakarta.
This was conveyed by Pramono in his speech while attending the Easter celebration with parishioners in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on Friday (10/4/2026).
In front of DPR RI Commission VIII Member from the Golkar Faction Erwin Aksa and Chairman of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD Inggard Joshua, Pramono touched on the transparency of increasing Original Local Revenue (PAD) through the commercialisation of public facility naming.
“Now, if you pay attention, all bus stops have names. Because giving a name means providing income, paying retribution, paying taxes to the DKI Jakarta Government. We do it transparently,” Pramono said in his speech on Friday.
