Permanent Disfigurement: Facelift Patient from Arauna Beauty Clinic Reports to Police
Paid Rp16 Million for a Facelift to Stay Youthful, Patient’s Face Instead Becomes Pus-Filled
Finalist for Putri Indonesia 2024 representing Riau, Jeni Rahmadial Fitri, was arrested by the Ditreskrimsus team of Polda Riau for alleged facelift malpractice that caused permanent disfigurement to the victim.
Jeni was immediately designated as a suspect after undergoing intensive examination at Mapolda Riau.
“The suspect is alleged to have carried out medical procedures without competence and without authority as a medical professional. From the investigation results, the actions taken instead caused serious impacts on the victims,” said Dirkrimsus Polda Riau Kombes Ade Kuncoro Wahyu, quoted from detikcom, Wednesday (29/4).
This case came to light after one of the victims, NS, reported to Polda Riau. NS claimed to have experienced malpractice resulting in facial damage after undergoing facelift and eyebrow facelift procedures at Arauna Beauty Clinic, Jalan Tengku Bey, Pekanbaru, on 4 July 2025.
A facelift is a cosmetic surgery procedure to tighten loose facial and neck tissues due to ageing.
Instead of obtaining the expected treatment results, NS experienced severe bleeding and serious infection on her face and head after the procedure at the clinic.
“The victim suffered pus-filled wounds, serious swelling, and had to undergo further treatment and surgery at several health facilities in Batam,” Ade stated.
As a result of the procedure, the victim sustained permanent disfigurement in the form of scalp scars that prevent hair regrowth and elongated wounds in the eyebrow area.
Police stated that the illegal facelift practice run by Jeni had been ongoing since 2019, charging up to tens of millions for a single procedure.
“For one procedure, the victim is known to have paid up to Rp16 million,” Ade said.
Following the report, police conducted a series of investigations. Investigators issued two summons for examination, but Jeni evaded them.
After a series of investigations, witness and expert examinations, the case was officially elevated to the investigation stage on 26 February 2026.
Police then tracked and arrested Jeni at her family’s home in the Bukit Ambacang area, Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra, on Tuesday (28/4).
For her actions, Jeni has been charged under Article 439 of the Health Law.
Jeni operated her practice at Arauna Beauty Clinic, Jalan Tengku Bey, Pekanbaru City. Jeni herself has no educational background as a dermatologist or in beauty, but she once attended a beauty course in Jakarta.
That training was actually intended for medical professionals or health workers. Armed with a beauty training certificate, Jeni opened an independent practice at the clinic from 2019 to 2025.
Following this case, the Putri Indonesia Foundation officially revoked Jeni’s Putri Indonesia Riau 2024 title.
In its official statement, the foundation emphasised its commitment to maintaining the credibility and professionalism of title holders.
“To safeguard the good name of the Putri Indonesia Foundation, we have decided to officially revoke the Putri Indonesia Riau 2024 title previously held by Ms Jeni Rahmadial Fitri,” wrote the official @officialputeriindonesia account.
