Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform and Deputy Chair I of the Government Digital Transformation Acceleration Committee, Rini Widyantini, conducted a working visit to Sumedang Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (12/8/2026). The visit aimed to review the progress of the Perlinsos Digital trial, a strategic initiative to strengthen the targeting accuracy of social protection programmes.

During the review, Minister Rini was accompanied by the Regent of Sumedang, Dr. H. Dony Ahmad Munir, S.T., M.M., and local government officials. The group observed the mass registration process taking place at the Mekarjaya Village Office and the Kotakaler Sub-district Office.

Sumedang Regency is one of the pioneering areas for this trial. Based on collected data, registration progress in the region shows significant figures compared to the overall national target for trial areas. The success of registration in Sumedang is largely due to the active role of 3,847 Perlinsos Agents deployed by the local government. Of these, 59.24 percent have been actively providing direct assistance, including door-to-door services to help residents facing technical difficulties.

For the public, the Perlinsos Digital Portal provides data certainty. Residents who have been excluded from social assistance for years now have an official channel to independently report their family conditions and immediately learn their eligibility status based on applicable criteria.

In addition to reviewing the Perlinsos registration, the Minister also visited the Sumedang Public Service Mall to ensure that digital transformation has been integrated with other public services, making it easier for citizens to access various administrative needs through a single point. The visit reinforced the collaboration between central and regional governments in ensuring digitalisation is not merely a trend, but a real solution tailored to on-the-ground needs to create more transparent and accountable government services.
