Performance Grows, Pelindo Contributes IDR 7.81 Trillion to the State for 2025 Financial Year
State-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), or Pelindo, contributed IDR 7.81 trillion to the state during the 2025 financial year, a 5% increase compared to the previous year. The contribution comprised tax payments, dividends, Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP), and concession payments. The results were announced at the company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) for the 2025 financial year held today.
In line with the increased state contribution, Pelindo also posted positive business performance. Throughout 2025, the company recorded operating revenue of IDR 35.48 trillion, growing 9% year-on-year, underpinned by growth in port activities as well as improved productivity and efficiency across various ports managed by Pelindo.
Pelindo President Director Achmad Muchtasyar stated that the achievement was the result of the ongoing transformation the company is undertaking to strengthen the competitiveness of national ports. ‘This achievement is the result of the transformation efforts that Pelindo continues to pursue to improve service quality, operational productivity, and deliver broader added value for the state and society,’ Achmad said, as quoted on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.
The performance growth was also reflected in operational indicators throughout 2025. Container throughput was recorded at 19.8 million TEUs, growing 5% compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, ship calls reached 1.42 billion GT and passenger traffic reached 20.4 million people, increasing by 1% and 5% respectively compared to last year.
The positive momentum has continued into 2026. Up to May 2026, Pelindo again recorded growth in several operational indicators compared to the same period the previous year. Container throughput up to May 2026 reached 8.21 million TEUs, growing 7% year-on-year (YoY). This growth was driven by a 10% increase in international container traffic, while domestic traffic grew 4%. During the same period, ship calls were recorded at 563 million GT, up 1%, while passenger traffic reached 9.45 million people, growing 7% compared to the same period last year.
According to Achmad, these results demonstrate that logistics, trade, and public mobility activities through ports remain positive amid global economic dynamics and international trade. ‘The performance growth at the beginning of 2026 shows that Pelindo’s transformation is on the right track. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen services, enhance the competitiveness of national ports, and support the smooth flow of supply chains and Indonesia’s economic growth,’ he added.
