Perbanas Institute officially entered its 57th year on Thursday, February 29th. The anniversary celebration, held at the Lobby of Unit VI, Kuningan Campus, Jakarta, served as a momentum for the institution to strengthen its commitment to building excellent, adaptive, and sustainable higher education.

With the theme “Integrating Integrity into Creativity: Strengthening Academic Excellence for a Sustainable Future,” the event was attended by approximately 200 guests. Representatives from the Perbanas Education Foundation, the Rectorate, institutional partners, and representatives from the Indonesian Orphanage Foundation also attended the series of activities, which included awards for employee service and social donations.

This anniversary was not only celebrated ceremonially but also marked by strengthening networks through the signing of two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).

First, Perbanas Institute established cooperation with the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. The signing was carried out with the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Manpower, Dr. Cris Kuntadi, S.E., M.M., focusing on improving human resource capacity and community service to support national employment development. This collaboration is expected to produce competitive human resources in the face of dynamic labor market conditions.

Second, collaboration was carried out with the Certified Wealth Managers Association (CWMA) in the field of education and research in the wealth management sector. This step reinforces Perbanas Institute’s position as an institution focused on the financial and banking sectors.

The Rector of Perbanas Institute, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hermanto Siregar, M.Ec., emphasized that the age of 57 is a mature phase that must be accompanied by the ability to adapt to global technology.

“Fifty-seven years is a mature age for Perbanas Institute. In the midst of global technological advancements, we must continue to adapt and innovate in the learning sector to remain relevant and excellent,” said Prof. Hermanto in his speech.

As part of this transformation, Perbanas Institute is now forming the Faculty of Vocational and Professional Schools to strengthen academic governance.

In addition, the curriculum continues to be aligned with industry needs, including the development of social impact programs such as village empowerment.

In closing the event, Prof. Hermanto expressed his hope that his institution would continue to produce graduates who are not only academically excellent but also have an impact on society.

Through this celebration, Perbanas Institute reaffirms its vision to continue to be globally competitive by upholding integrity for a sustainable future. (Z-1)
