Peradi Profesional and Unisba Collaborate to Strengthen Advocate Professional Education
The Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi Profesional) and the Islamic University of Bandung (Unisba) have established a partnership to strengthen legal education and the development of the advocate profession. The collaboration was formalised through the signing of a memorandum of understanding and a cooperation agreement focusing on the implementation of the Special Education for Advocate Profession (PKPA) and Advocate Professional Education (PPA).
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Unisba Rector Harits Nu’man and Peradi Profesional Chairman Harris Arthur Hedar. Meanwhile, the cooperation agreement was signed by Unisba Faculty of Law Dean Efik Yusdiansyah alongside Harris.
The partnership also encompasses the delivery of education, research, community service, seminars, training, public lectures, scientific discussions, and various other academic activities.
Peradi Profesional Chairman Harris Arthur Hedar stated that collaboration between advocate organisations and universities is a strategic step to build a legal education ecosystem capable of producing professional, high-integrity, ethical, and character-driven advocates.
“Improving the quality of the advocate profession must begin with quality legal education, an adaptive curriculum, and close synergy between academics and legal practitioners,” Harris said in a press release on Wednesday (22/7/2026).
Unisba Rector Harits Nu’man expressed appreciation for the partnership. According to him, Unisba is committed to strengthening collaboration with Peradi Profesional to improve the quality of higher education in the field of law.
As a follow-up to the cooperation, Unisba is providing an activity space for Peradi Profesional on campus. The facility will be used for the implementation of PKPA, PPA, seminars, public lectures, scientific discussions, continuing education, joint programme coordination, and various other academic and professional activities.
“The provision of these facilities reflects that this cooperation is realised through concrete steps that benefit students, lecturers, advocates, and the community,” said Harits.
Both institutions are also committed to developing various programmes that support the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), strengthening legal research, improving the quality of scientific publications, expanding community service, and building academic forums that discuss national and international legal developments.
Peradi Profesional and Unisba stated they will maintain ongoing coordination and communication to ensure that all agreed programmes can be realised in stages.
