PERADI Profesional Affirms Commitment to Restoring the Dignity of Advocates
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) Profesional has affirmed its commitment to restoring the dignity of the legal profession through collaboration with universities and the government.
Secretary General of the National Leadership Board (DPN) of PERADI Profesional, Yuhelson, assessed that synergy between academics, legal practitioners, and the government forms a crucial foundation for strengthening law enforcement in Indonesia. He stated that cross-sector cooperation has been a primary agenda of the organisation since its inception.
He said this synergy serves as a milestone for upholding justice. In less than six months, PERADI Profesional has managed to establish cooperation with more than 112 universities, marking a historic achievement.
Yuhelson conveyed that PERADI Profesional was established with the spirit of rebuilding the honour of the legal profession through strengthening the quality of education for prospective advocates. He noted that this distinguishes PERADI Profesional from other organisations, as its focus is on restoring the dignity of the profession.
He explained that the collaboration with universities and the government is realised through the joint organisation of professional advocate education with various higher education institutions across Indonesia. To date, PERADI Profesional has partnered with 138 universities, of which 108 are religious higher education institutions under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
For this achievement, PERADI Profesional received an award from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) through Certificate Number 12803/R.MURI/VII/2026, recognising it as the advocate organisation with the most cooperation agreements signed with 108 religious universities for advocate education.
Yuhelson opined that the award serves as recognition of the organisation’s efforts to enhance the quality of legal professional education in Indonesia. He said MURI took notice of what PERADI Profesional has accomplished, and this historical record should serve as a stimulus for the nation’s children to continue being creative and improving future achievements.
He expressed his deepest gratitude to the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Director General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the University of Indonesia. Harris remarked that it was thanks to this cooperation that PERADI Profesional was able to receive the MURI award as the first advocate organisation to sign cooperation agreements with the highest number of state and private universities in Indonesia.
According to Harris, the award serves as motivation for the organisation to continue improving the quality of advocates by strengthening cooperation with the education sector. He expressed hope that the established collaboration will produce advocates who possess professional competence and integrity, and who are capable of addressing the challenges of law enforcement in Indonesia.
