The momentum of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H does not diminish the company’s commitment to maintaining the reliability of the national energy supply. Palembang (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Zone 4 will continue full upstream oil and natural gas (oil and gas) operations during the 2026 Eid holiday period, prioritising work safety aspects. General Manager of PEP Zone 4, Djudjuwanto, in a press statement received in Palembang on Friday, said that the momentum of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H does not reduce the company’s commitment to maintaining the reliability of the national energy supply. Therefore, his side ensures that all activities in its operational area run normally with the implementation of strict Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) standards to maintain the smoothness and security of operations. “The Eid al-Fitr moment does not reduce our commitment to keeping the energy supply reliable. We ensure that every worker carries out their duties by prioritising safety so that operations continue to run smoothly and safely,” he said. He explained that this full operation commitment is part of the company’s efforts to achieve the 2026 production target, namely around 30,305 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and gas at 485.07 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). “This production increase is in line with the company’s commitment to maintaining safety performance, as reflected in the achievement of zero work accidents or Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) across all operational areas throughout the previous year,” he explained. He also urged all workers to consistently implement the 3P Programme (People, Plant, and Procedure) as a step to control operational risks and prevent work accidents. In addition, every operational activity is required to be carried out with high discipline towards HSSE aspects to ensure all processes run according to applicable standards. PEP Zone 4 also invites communities around the operational area to actively participate in maintaining the security and safety of oil and gas activities, including by complying with “buffer zone” or safe zone signs. “The community has an important role in supporting safe oil and gas operations. We urge them to always pay attention to the safe zone for everyone’s safety,” said Djudjuwanto.
