People's defense units prepared

BANDUNG: The Siliwangi Military Command is currently exploring the possibility of establishing a defense unit in each of the 6,800 villages scattered in West Java, the Antara news agency reported.

Siliwangi Chief Maj. Gen. Muzani Syukur on Monday held a meeting with about 20,000 people who have been enlisted to become members of the village defense units. (emb)
