People's burden increases

Recently the costs of daily needs have been rising by 10
percent up to 20 percent. The hike seems uncontrollable. Since
the fall of the rupiah against the U.S. dollar last week, the
price of soap, vegetable oil and even vegetables have increased
significantly.

Co-inciding with the rise in the price of fuel, these changes
are suffocating the people.

It's true that President Abdurrahman Wahid's administration
have started to investigate corruptors, but unfortunately these
corruptors are Gus Dur's political opponents and still have
significant political cover from Gus Dur's opponents. What about
P. Pangestu, Samsul Nursalim, Sinivasan and many others?

If Gus Dur's government could sue these people and confiscate
their assets, the fuel hike might not have occurred.
