PENSA 2026 Discusses the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Nutritional Management
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in nutritional management is a central issue at the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Society of Asia (PENSA) 2026 international conference.
The forum is discussing opportunities to use AI to improve patient assessment, personalise nutritional therapy and optimise healthcare outcomes.
Held under the theme “Implementing Artificial Intelligence in Nutritional Management”, PENSA Conference 2026 is taking place from 21 to 24 October 2026 at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel in Kuta, Bali, Indonesia.
The meeting brings together doctors, researchers, nutritionists, pharmacists, nurses and other professionals in clinical nutrition and metabolism from various countries.
Dr Hartono, FP MM PhD, DCN, president of the 26th PENSA Congress 2026, said the conference offers professionals an opportunity to share knowledge and experience, while building new networks and collaborations, particularly in Asia.
According to Hartono, rapid technological development, including artificial intelligence, is driving various advances in nutrition science and patient care.
“We have 16 members in this region, and we will grow. Indonesia is hosting for the fourth time,” he said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday (25 October 2026).
He added that, unlike previous events, this year’s conference would present awards to participants in the poster competition.
He said the congress would cover nutritional care at various levels, from primary care to highly complex hospital services such as haemodialysis and intensive care units.
PENSA 2026’s scientific programme also features the latest knowledge and research in clinical nutrition and metabolism.
Various sessions have been designed to support improvements in day-to-day practice and help healthcare workers provide the best possible care to patients.
“We are doing our best to make this congress a memorable and valuable event for all participants,” Hartono said.
