Pemuda Pancasila Chairman Japto Questioned by Anti-Corruption Commission Over Mining Company Security Services
Indonesia’s Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) examined allegations regarding security services whilst interrogating Japto Soerjosoemarno, Chairman of the National Leadership Council of Pemuda Pancasila, at KPK headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday. Japto was questioned as a witness in the investigation of alleged graft involving former Kutai Kartanegara regent Rita Widyasari.
“Investigators examined allegations of receiving mining products from PT ABP (Alamjaya Barapratama) as payment for security services,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists.
Meanwhile, Budi stated that another witness, Abdi Khalik Ginting, who served as commissioner of PT Bara Kumala Sakti from 2010 to 2022, was unable to respond to the KPK’s summons. “The witness confirmed his inability to attend and requested rescheduling due to other previously scheduled commitments,” he said.
Previously, on 28 September 2017, the KPK named Rita Widyasari, chief executive of PT Sawit Golden Prima Hery Susanto Gun, and commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama Khairudin as suspects in the alleged graft case in the Kutai Kartanegara region of East Kalimantan.
