Pemuda Muhammadiyah Launches Logo for 19th Muktamar
Surabaya (ANTARA) - The Central Leadership (PP) of Pemuda Muhammability has launched the logo for the 19th Muktamar of Pemuda Muhammadiyah at the East Java Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership Building in Surabaya.
“This 19th Muktamar logo is not merely a visual symbol, but a representation of the ideas, direction of movement, and commitment of Pemuda Muhammadiyah in responding to the challenges of the era,” said the General Chairman of the Central Leadership of Pemuda Muhammadiyah, Dzulfikar A. Tawalla, in a statement in Surabaya on Friday.
Dzulfikar A. Tawalla, who also serves as the Deputy Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, also inaugurated the 61st Anniversary Reception of the Muhammadiyah Youth Readiness Command (KOKAM).
The event was attended by members of the Central Leadership of Pemuda Muhammadiyah, the East Java Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PWM), alumni of Pemuda Muhammadiyah, KOKAM leaders, and cadres from various regions.
Dzulfikar stated that the logo launch serves as a marker for the beginning of the series of preparations leading towards the highest consultative assembly of Pemuda Muhammadiyah.
Meanwhile, the KOKAM anniversary commemoration served as a momentum to reflect on the organisation’s track record of service in protecting religious scholars, safeguarding the association, and participating in humanitarian actions and disaster relief across various regions.
The 19th Muktamar of Pemuda Muhammadiyah is scheduled to take place from 25-29 Sya’ban 1448 Hijriah, or 2-6 February 2027, in Surabaya, East Java.
The 19th Muktamar logo contains several philosophies, including a monument representing young statesmen with steadfastness, courage, and the high aspirations of the younger generation.
The rays surrounding the monument depict nine flames representing the eight corners of the Indonesian archipelago gathering at a single central point of unity in Surabaya.
The flame also signifies the spirit of tajdid (renewal) and enlightenment, as well as the courage to take an active role in bringing about change.
The Chairman of the East Java Pemuda Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PWPM), Anang Nafi’uzzaki, expressed gratitude for being entrusted to host the 19th Muktamar of Pemuda Muhammadiyah.
“On behalf of the East Java Pemuda Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PWPM) and all cadres across 38 Regencies/Cities, we declare our readiness to welcome with great joy and warmth the presence of delegates, leaders, and cadres of Pemuda Muhammadiyah from all corners of the nation,” he said.
PWPM East Java is committed to being an excellent host, ensuring a comfortable, conducive, and joyful atmosphere for the consultative assembly.
