Pemalang Regent Appears in Detention Vest Following KPK Sting Operation

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially detained Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro along with three other suspects following a sting operation conducted on 28 July. In the case of alleged corruption within the Pemalang Regency Government, investigators also seized evidence in the form of Rp2 billion in cash, suspected to be linked to bribery and abuse of authority. The four suspects detained are Bupati Pemalang Anom Widiyantoro, KPK administrative staff member Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto, and private parties Lilik Budi Suprianto and Mohamad Haris. The detention was carried out to facilitate further investigation into the alleged criminal acts involving government officials in Pemalang.
