Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - PT Pembangunan Aceh (Perseroda), or PT PEMA, an Aceh regional-owned company, has handed over a dividend from its 2025 financial year net profit to the Aceh Government amounting to Rp28.7 billion, an increase compared to previous years.

“This dividend handover is a form of our commitment to continue contributing to Aceh, while also boosting the region’s own-source revenue (PAD) for Aceh every year,” said PT PEMA Chief Executive Mawardi Nur in Banda Aceh on Friday.

The dividend was symbolically presented by Mawardi Nur to Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf, also known as Mualem, at the Governor’s office in Banda Aceh.

The 2025 dividend rose compared to the two preceding years, with dividend receipts of Rp26.7 billion in the 2024 financial year and more than Rp26.6 billion in 2023.

Mawardi said the increase in the dividend served as an indicator of the company’s performance. The achievement was the result of PT PEMA’s gradual internal reform through strengthened corporate governance, as well as the professional development of its various business lines.

Moreover, the company continues to transform into a healthy, professional Aceh-owned enterprise (BUMA) capable of delivering added value for the region.

“We are continuing to increase Aceh’s PAD by improving performance, expanding our business reach, and delivering greater benefits to the people of Aceh,” he said.

He explained that the company’s profit for the 2025 financial year came from several strategic business units, including the management of the Block B working area through subsidiary PT Pema Global Energi (PGE), management of the Ladong Aceh Industrial Estate (KIA), sulphur trading, Gayo arabica coffee exports, and fisheries trade.

He added that this achievement also serves as motivation for the company to keep increasing its contribution to Aceh through strengthening existing businesses and developing new ventures.

“This performance improvement is part of the collective work of the entire company over recent years, focused on internal reform, strengthening management systems, improving transparency, and building an adaptive and accountable work culture,” said Mawardi Nur.

Meanwhile, Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf appreciated PT PEMA’s achievement, noting that it has shown positive development as a regional-owned company able to grow through its own business strength without depending on government budget support.

“This is proof that BUMA can be managed professionally with increasingly good governance. I appreciate the spirit of the young Acehnese entrusted with running PT PEMA. I am confident that PT PEMA’s contribution to PAD will continue to rise and bring greater benefits to regional development,” said Mualem.

In 2026, PT PEMA is targeting revenue growth through optimising its existing businesses, including raising gas selling prices through PT Pema Global Energi, optimising the sale value of sulphur, and expanding exports of Aceh’s flagship commodities to international markets.

In addition, the company has begun developing several new strategic sectors, including telecommunications, cold storage facilities, industrial estate development, and various other investment opportunities with high economic value for the region.
