Pelni Projects 27,000 Passengers on Peak Return Flow of Eid Exodus
PT Pelni anticipates the peak of the return Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah exodus to occur on Thursday, 2 April 2026, with a projected number of passengers reaching 27,009 people.
“The peak return flow, we predict, will occur on 2 April 2026 with a projection of 27,009 passengers,” said Pelni’s Corporate Secretary Ditto Pappilanda in Jakarta on Monday (23/3), citing Antara.
According to Ditto, as of Monday, total ticket sales for the return flow period have reached 171,438 tickets.
PT Pelni is preparing optimal services during the return flow period, which runs from 23 March to 6 April 2026.
To ensure the smooth running and comfort of travellers, PT Pelni has also prepared several anticipatory measures.
Among them are strengthening coordination with stakeholders, adding service personnel and security staff, and ensuring all ships are in seaworthy condition.
Ditto urged travellers who have not yet obtained tickets to book immediately through PT Pelni’s official channels to avoid the risk of quota exhaustion and unofficial ticket purchases.
He also reminded passengers to always adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness during the journey.
“We always prioritise passenger safety and comfort by implementing ‘safety first’, ‘zero accident’, and ‘service excellent’,” said Ditto.
Ditto added that the ship’s crew will be ready to assist passengers who need help during the voyage.
This is inseparable from PT Pelni’s commitment to maintaining the quality of sea transportation services during the 1447 H Lebaran transport, both in the outbound and return periods.
As a state-owned enterprise in the shipping services sector, PT Pelni currently operates 25 passenger ships serving 483 routes with 75 destination ports.
In addition, Pelni manages 30 pioneer ship routes in the 3TP region and 18 rede ships, as well as serving eight sea toll routes and one special livestock ship route for logistics business.
