Pelni Jakarta prepares to transport 822 passengers to Sulawesi and NTT
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) Jakarta Branch is preparing to dispatch the KM Tidar ship carrying 822 passengers from Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, to South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, and NTT on Thursday or H-2 Eid 2026. The KM Tidar passengers were originally scheduled to depart at 11:00 WIB, but due to constraints, the departure has been postponed to 17:00 WIB. The Head of Pelni Jakarta Branch, Antonius Lumban Gaol, told ANTARA in Jakarta on Thursday that they are serving Eid transportation with nine ships and 21 ports of call, providing 21,000 seats. During the Eid period up to 18 March 2026, the total number of passengers transported from Tanjung Priok Port reached 10,524. The details are as follows: 773 passengers boarded KM Gunung Dempo on Friday (6/3/2026), and 2,117 passengers boarded KM Kelud on Saturday (7/3/2026). Then, 1,119 passengers boarded KM Ciremai on Monday (9/3/2026), and 1,604 passengers boarded KM Dobonsolo on Friday (13/3/2026). Subsequently, 2,425 passengers boarded KM Nggapulu on Saturday (14/3/2026), 515 passengers boarded KM Tidar on Monday (16/3/2026), and 1,971 passengers boarded KM Labobar on Wednesday (18/3/2026). Pelni Jakarta Branch invites the public to take advantage of the government discount offered during the Eid mudik and return flow for the 1447 Hijriah Idul Fitri holiday. “There is a 30 percent discount from the base fare for departures from 11 March to 5 April 2026,” said Antonius. Based on the official PT Pelni ticket purchase website for this year’s Eid mudik flow, one economy class passenger ticket from Tanjung Priok Port to Ambon Port on Friday (20/3/2026) is priced at Rp580,900 from the normal price of Rp808,000. Passengers will board the KM Labobar ship from Tanjung Priok Port, with a journey time of four days and 15 hours to Ambon Port.
