Pelni: 3,178 Passengers Arrive at Tanjung Priok Port on KM Kelud
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pelni (Persero) Jakarta Branch recorded 3,178 passengers arriving at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, during the return flow period following the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday.
βThe ship that arrived today, KM Kelud from Belawan (North Sumatra), brought 3,178 passengers,β said the Head of Pelni Jakarta Branch, Antonius Lumban Gaol, to ANTARA in Jakarta on Thursday.
The number of passengers arriving at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, on Thursday surged sharply compared to the number arriving on Tuesday (24/3/2026).
On Tuesday (24/3/2026), KM Ciremai docked at Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, with 436 passengers disembarking.
KM Ciremai serves routes in eastern Indonesia, covering Papua regions including Jayapura, Serui, Biak, Manokwari, and Sorong.
Meanwhile, KM Kelud travelled the return route from Belawan, North Sumatra; then Tanjung Balai Karimun, Riau Islands; via Batam, Riau Islands; before arriving at Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.
KM Kelud was previously scheduled to arrive at Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Thursday at 02.00 WIB, but arrived earlier, around 23.00 WIB on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
Furthermore, Gaol stated that KM Kelud is scheduled to sail back on Thursday at 19.00 WIB. The number of registered passengers for that voyage is 3,604 people.
The departure route of KM Kelud includes Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta; Batam, Riau Islands; then Tanjung Balai Karimun, Riau Islands; before docking in Belawan, North Sumatra.
During the Eid homecoming period up to 18 March 2026, the total number of passengers transported from Tanjung Priok Port reached 10,524 passengers.
The breakdown includes 773 passengers boarding KM Gunung Dempo on Friday (6/3/2026), and 2,117 passengers boarding KM Kelud on Saturday (7/3/2026).
Then, 1,119 passengers boarded KM Ciremai on Monday (9/3/2026), and 1,604 passengers boarded KM Dobonsolo on Friday (13/3/2026).
Subsequently, 2,425 passengers boarded KM Nggapulu on Saturday (14/3/2026), 515 passengers boarded KM Tidar on Monday (16/3/2026), and 1,971 passengers boarded KM Labobar on Wednesday (18/3/2026).
A downward trend in passenger numbers was observed on Thursday (19/3/2026), where KM Tidar carried 837 people, further declining on Friday (20/3/2026) with KM Nggapulu carrying 495 people, and then on Sunday (22/3/2026) KM Gunung Dempo carried 425 people.
