Pelita Air Offers Up to 45% Discount for Independence Day
Pelita Air is encouraging greater public mobility during the 81st Independence Day holiday. Pelita Air President Director Faik Fahmi said the company is offering a special Merdeka Surprice promotion with discounts of up to 45 percent for all domestic and international flight routes.
“This promotion applies to the purchase of return tickets through the Pelita Air website and app during the period of 16–18 August 2026, with departure dates of 17 August, 1 September to 24 October 2026,” Faik said in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday (13/8/2026).
Through this promotion, Faik said, Pelita Air wants to invite the public to celebrate the spirit of independence by exploring more destinations in Indonesia and abroad. Faik hopes the programme can provide added value for customers during the Independence Day holiday period.
Faik said the spirit of independence is the right momentum to strengthen inter-regional connectivity and open more opportunities for people to travel. Through the Merdeka Surprice promotion, Faik continued, Pelita Air wants to provide increasingly affordable air travel access so that more people can enjoy a safe and comfortable flying experience.
“We believe that better connectivity will have a positive impact on the growth of tourism, business activity, and the economy in various regions,” Faik added.

Not only offering special prices, Faik said, Pelita Air is also providing an increasingly comfortable flying experience. He said all Pelita Air flights are equipped with free meals on board, checked baggage allowance of up to 20 kg, 7 kg cabin baggage, and inflight entertainment accessible during the flight.
“Coupled with spacious seat pitch, every journey feels more comfortable, both for short flights and longer distances,” Faik said.
