Pelita Air Collaboration Helps Businesses Reach Tourists
Pelita Air is expanding its collaboration with the lifestyle and culinary sectors to strengthen the travel experience for customers while supporting partner business growth across various tourist destinations. The boarding pass exchange scheme with a range of benefits is seen as capable of increasing customer loyalty and drawing new visitors to merchants.
One form of collaboration is implemented by Pelita Air through the PASplus programme. The programme allows passengers to obtain various benefits at partner merchants simply by presenting their boarding pass.
The collaboration is said to have a positive impact on the lifestyle and culinary sectors, from increased exposure and visitor traffic to the creation of repeat customers.
One partner that has felt the impact is Café del Mar Bali. Head of Marketing Café del Mar Bali, Rio Fransisco, said customer responses to the programme have been positive so far.
‘Many customers feel the programme adds value to their travel. So it is not only a discount when visiting Café del Mar Bali, but they also feel they are getting an additional special experience after the journey,’ Rio said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday (23/5/2026).
Through the PASplus programme, Pelita Air customers can enjoy a number of benefits at partner merchants, ranging from discounts to additional facilities such as a free daybed with a value of Rp500,000 to Rp3,000,000.
According to Rio, the ease of redemption is one of the factors that make the programme attractive to customers. ‘Customers simply show their boarding pass without a complicated process and immediately receive a special privilege,’ Rio said.
A similar impact was felt at Exposed Cafe. Owner and CEO of PT Arumahira Kuliner Indonesia, Riska Namirah, said the PASplus programme helps create new repeating customers at the outlet.
‘Passengers can immediately feel the benefit even after check-in and before flying with the discount provided by simply showing the boarding pass at our outlet,’ she said.
She added that most customers learned about the PASplus programme directly from staff at the outlet during the transaction. The approach is considered effective in increasing customer awareness of the various benefits available.
‘We hope the collaboration with Pelita Air can continue to grow into part of a more comprehensive travel experience,’ she said.
The collaboration between airlines and lifestyle and culinary players is increasingly important amid competition in the tourism and travel industry. In addition to enhancing the travel experience, the partnership also opens up opportunities for business growth for merchants at various destinations.
