Pelindo trains managers

JAKARTA (JP): The Netherlands-based International Institute
for Infrastructural Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering
agreed yesterday to provide a training program for middle
executives of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo), the state-owned
port management company.

The agreement on the training program was signed in Surabaya,
East Java, in the presence of Netherlands Minister for
Transportation and Public Works A. Jorritama-Lebbink and
Indonesia's Director General for Sea Transportation Soentoro.

Pelindo's executives will follow a training program of the
Dutch institute on port management and carry out a comparative
study on port operations in the Netherlands under the cooperation
agreement, which will last for 10 years.(hen)
