Pelindo to Cut 17 Subsidiaries as Part of SOE Streamlining Programme
The transformation process is still ongoing, but it begins with streamlining, followed by the process of restructuring our business model correctly, stated Dony Oskaria, Head of the SOE Supervisory Board.
PT Pelindo targets the reduction of 17 subsidiaries under the SOE streamlining programme, which will decrease the total number of entities from 41 to 21.
“This transformation is still a long journey, but it starts with streamlining, after which we will enter the process of properly arranging our business model,” Dony said in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Of the 17 entities included in the restructuring programme, 1-1 entities have completed their corporate actions, while the remaining six are targeted for completion by 31 December 2026.
The restructuring is being carried out through various schemes, including mergers, consolidations, divestments, and liquidations.
In addition to simplifying the number of entities, Pelindo is also shifting its parenting model from a strategic holding approach towards active management.
Under this model, Pelindo will take a more direct role in managing core operational activities, with a clearer division of roles between the holding company, regional offices, service lines, and business entities.
Dony believes that this transformation can be executed more integrally through consolidation under Danantara.
“The decision to undergo this transformation is highly appropriate. Now, with the consolidation under Danantara, everything becomes possible to achieve,” said Dony.
The restructuring is expected to go beyond merely reducing the number of entities, continuing towards the formation of a Pelindo structure and business model that is simpler, more effective, and capable of strengthening the overall group performance.
