PT Pelindo continues to restructure its corporate framework through a streamlining programme designed to strengthen its business model and clarify the role of each entity within the Pelindo Group. This was announced by the Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Agency and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, during a meeting with Pelindo officials in Jakarta on Monday (28/09/2026).

Dony stated that Pelindo’s transformation is a long-term process, beginning with the simplification of the entity structure before proceeding to the realignment of the business model.

“This transformation is still a long journey, but it begins with streamlining first, after which we will move into the process of properly organising our business model,” Dony said in a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (29/09/2026).

Under the 2026 streamlining programme, Dony noted that Pelindo aims to reduce the number of entities from 41 to 24. Of the 17 entities included in the restructuring programme, 11 have already completed their corporate actions, while the remaining six are targeted for completion by 31 December 2026. The restructuring is being carried out through various schemes, including mergers, consolidations, divestments, and liquidations.

In addition to simplifying the number of entities, Pelindo is also shifting its parenting model from a strategic holding approach towards active management. Under this model, Pelindo will take a more direct role in managing core operational activities, with a clearer division of roles between the holding company, regional offices, service lines, and business entities.

Dony believes that this transformation can be executed more integrally through consolidation under Danantara.

“The decision to undergo this transformation is highly appropriate. Now, with the consolidation under Danantara, everything becomes possible to achieve,” Dony added.

Dony expressed hope that the restructuring would not stop at reducing the number of entities, but would continue towards creating a Pelindo structure and business model that is simpler, more effective, and capable of strengthening the overall performance of the group.
