Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pelindo Sunda Kelapa is educating stakeholders and ship operators on the passenger ship service procedures in the Sunda Kelapa Port area, North Jakarta. “This activity aims to provide comprehensive understanding of the embarkation and debarkation service flow for passenger ships,” said the General Manager of Sunda Kelapa, Ahmad Fahmi, during the passenger ship service procedure socialisation in Jakarta on Tuesday. He stated that this socialisation also aims to align coordination between ship operators, Pelindo, and agencies or stakeholders in the port area and others. He explained that the passenger ship service process is now integrated through digital systems such as Inaportnet and Phinnisi. According to him, ship operators are required to submit the Ship Arrival and Departure Report (LK3). They must also apply for berthing, departure, or ship movement through both systems. In addition, he continued, coordination regarding the Ship Berthing Plan (RPK) is an important part in ensuring the smooth flow of ships. “Both for berthing, moving, or departing activities to the Thousand Islands and surrounding waters of Sunda Kelapa,” he said. Pelindo is also continuously improving supporting facilities for services at the port, such as enhancements that have been made, including the addition of CCTV at several location points. According to him, this socialisation activity is an important step in ensuring that all parties have the same understanding of the procedures. He said that through this socialisation activity, a common perception is created and coordination among stakeholders is improved, so that services to service users can run more optimally, safely, and orderly. He stated that Pelindo hopes that all involved parties can understand and implement the established procedures. “Thus, the relocation of Passenger Services for the route to the Thousand Islands, which was previously served in Ancol, creates more effective, efficient, and standard service smoothness for sea transportation user communities,” he said.
