Pelindo Regional 4 Strengthens Workers' Spiritual Development Through Quran Programme

Makassar (ANTARA) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 continues to strengthen comprehensive human resource development through character and spiritual guidance via the “Pelindo Regional 4 Mengaji” programme.

“This programme is held as a weekly routine for workers within Pelindo Regional 4,” said Rinto Saiful, Division Head of HR and General Services at Pelindo Regional 4, in Makassar on Thursday.

According to him, the programme, initiated by the HR and General Services Division of Pelindo Regional 4, is held regularly every Thursday in cooperation with the Griya Al Quran Foundation of Surabaya.

The activity serves as a forum for workers to deepen their understanding of the Quran whilst strengthening spiritual values expected to be reflected in their work ethic, integrity, and corporate culture.

Rinto said that spiritual development is an essential part of building human resources that excel not only in competence but also possess good character and morals.

He believes that a balance between professional competence and religious values will produce Pelindo personnel who are ethical, possess integrity, and are capable of delivering the best possible service to customers.

According to him, the collaboration with the Griya Al Quran Foundation of Surabaya is expected to deliver Quranic learning that is systematic, easy to understand, and accessible to all workers on an ongoing basis.

Beyond serving as a means of improving the ability to read and understand the Quran, he added, the activity is also expected to strengthen relations among employees and foster a harmonious working environment, one in which people remind one another of goodness and which is grounded in moral values.

Rinto added that Pelindo Regional 4 is committed to providing various human resource development programmes that focus not only on improving technical competence but also on shaping character and a positive work culture.
