The coordinated activities conducted across all Pelindo regions symbolise synergy and the spirit of togetherness among Port Captains in sharing the blessings of Eid al-Adha.

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 slaughtered 35 Qurbani cattle during the Eid al-Adha celebration of 1447 Hijriyah/2026 CE, distributing the meat to local communities as part of the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme.

Pelindo’s President Director, Achmad Muchtasyar, stated in Makassar on Wednesday that Eid al-Adha is a crucial opportunity for the company to strengthen social awareness and unity with communities around port operations.

“Through this Qurbani programme, Pelindo aims to ensure its presence extends beyond port services to deliver tangible social benefits to the community. Eid al-Adha teaches values of sincerity, mutual cooperation, and compassion, which are integral to the company’s work culture,” he said.

Achmad Muchtasyar explained that the distribution of sacrificial animals also reflects Pelindo’s commitment to a sustainable TJSL programme with direct impact on communities, particularly around port areas.

He added that the coordinated activities across all Pelindo regions symbolise synergy and the collective spirit of Port Captains in sharing Eid al-Adha blessings.

Meanwhile, Executive Director of Pelindo Regional 4, Abdul Azis, said this year’s Qurbani initiative involved all branches within Regional 4, with animal distribution tailored to community needs in each operational area.

“A total of 35 Qurbani cattle were distributed and slaughtered simultaneously across all Pelindo Regional 4 branches. The meat was then distributed to those in need,” Abdul Azis explained.

He noted that the initiative is not merely an annual routine but part of efforts to foster harmonious relations between Pelindo and port-area communities.

“Pelindo Regional 4 aims to grow alongside the community. Through such TJSL programmes, we hope the company’s benefits are directly felt by the public, especially during Eid al-Adha,” he added.

Sudirman, a recipient of the Qurbani meat, thanked Pelindo for its concern. “Alhamdulillah, I am deeply grateful to Pelindo Regional 4 for the Qurbani meat assistance we received this Eid al-Adha,” he said.

He added that the assistance was particularly meaningful for him and his family amid rising living costs.

“We feel Pelindo is not just a service provider but also demonstrates genuine social concern for residents around its operational areas. May Pelindo continue to thrive, succeed, and be blessed to keep sharing benefits with the community as it does now,” he said.

The Qurbani slaughter across Pelindo Regional 4 was conducted with attention to hygiene, health, and sharia guidelines, involving internal company committees and local community representatives.
