PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Banten has introduced an integrated operational service system at Ciwandan Port to ensure smooth port activities that support the supply chain of various industrial sectors.

General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, stated that quality service is measured not only by process speed but also by the company’s ability to understand user needs and provide appropriate solutions.

“The Public Service Day momentum serves as a reminder for us to continue delivering services that provide ease, certainty, and comfort for customers. We strive to ensure every service process runs effectively so that service users can carry out their business activities smoothly,” Benny said in a statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday.

This responsive operational system is realised through the implementation of measurable service standards based on Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Service Level Guarantees (SLG), supported by operational facilities and effective service coordination. The effort is made to ensure the smooth flow of port activities in the industrial sector supply chain, from vessel berthing and cargo loading and unloading to administrative processes.

As one of the strategic ports in Banten Province, Ciwandan Port has nine piers consisting of Pier 1, Pier 2, Pier 3, Pier 4, Pier 5A, Pier 5B, Pier 5C, Pier 6, and Pier 7. These facilities underpin the high volume of daily loading and unloading activities for various industrial commodities, which demand fast, precise service capable of dynamically adapting to customer needs so that logistics flows can run smoothly.

In carrying out port operations, Pelindo Regional 2 Banten also consistently applies Occupational Health and Safety (K3) standards across all work areas. The implementation of safety aspects is an integral part of maintaining smooth port operations while supporting the creation of a safe working environment for all workers, business partners, and service users.

“We believe that reliable service must go hand in hand with a strong safety culture. Therefore, every operational activity is carried out by prioritising compliance with work procedures and the principle of prudence so that services can take place safely, smoothly, and sustainably,” Benny added.

Through the momentum of Public Service Day, Pelindo Regional 2 Banten remains committed to delivering port services that are responsive, reliable, and oriented towards customer needs, enabling Ciwandan Port to continue contributing to the smooth flow of national logistics and economic growth in the Banten region.
